Making HistoryEither way you cut it this year we will witness history. The 2008 election will bring us either the first black president,
or the first female vice president. I do believe this issue has been highly overrated though, and used improperly throughout
the campaigns. Does the gender or race of our nations leader matter more than what they plan to do with the country itself?
I don't think so. I believe the worst thing about this election is the lack of knowledge the voters have about the candidates
prior to actually voting. It's not as if there hasn't been wide spread media coverage of both candidates, in fact
this had been one of the most highly covered elections of all time. The real problem is, the people who will be voting this
year have no interest in the issues at hand, they care more about the color, gender, and age of the candidates. And these
people are choosing the next leader of the free world!!! I believe we will be highly disappointed as a nation when we find
out that just because someone looks different as a politician does not change the fact that they are a politician. All politicians,
the white, black, brown, men, women, young, and old are all the same in one fact. That is they will say whatever you want
to hear to get into office, and once they are there they will have their own agendas and do what they want. I have looked
at our presidential candidates like this, as if anyone really cares. 1. You have Barack Obama. He's a new face, with a
great speech quality. He is seen as the new face of America, and yet underneath the fact, yes I said FACT, that he is highly
inexperianced, completely far left and unwilling to give the benefit of the doubt, and a LAWYER or as I like to call them
"Professional Liars", people still seem to have a desire to call him their savior. I on the other hand am not fooled
by his smile and good looks. I am not fooled by his great oratory in which he hardly says anything that matters. I believe
he is a liar. Down right, bold faced liar. He will only change the fact that the poor will not only be enabled to never get
up and go somewhere with their lives, but they will be rewarded for not doing so. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will be a disaster
for the United States of America. John McCain is a politician. I am not fooled by his war stories and promises of strength.
I understand that he also has to lie for a living. But, for the first time in my life, as a democrat, I am full fledged, one
hundred percent, sure, that a republican candidate is the right man for the job as president. John McCain is a war hero, whether
you like it or not. He put his life on the line for our freedom, and spent 7 years in a POW camp because he refused to denounce
his country. People say, "Well, he's too old, he couldn't handle the stress." Really? Like I said he spent
7 years in a POW camp, and if he can handle that without going insane, why wouldn't he be able to handle the stress of
being president? Also, he wants to downsize the government. And incase you have no idea what that means, it means we will
save an incredible amount of money as tax payers because no longer will we have to fund stupid, shitty programs that do us
no good. As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, all I can say is, she i legit. She may not always say what I want to hear, but
she does not lie. She tells the truth, and the bottom line is for the first time in our history, we may have the chance to
have a president who actually cares for his country, and a vice president who can tell the truth whether you like it or not,
and those candidates are NOT Barack Obama and Joe Biden. America, stop being fooled by his charm and look past the bullshit
he spreads. Obama does not care about you, he cares about power. If you want a candidate who will give you the best package
you could hope for, vote McCain Palin, I promise you won't be disappointed. Thats just my opinion, if you don't like
it... well, blow me! -WORD-
