Sailorman- The Man The Legend
Sailorman
was born in 1950 to a middle class family in the coal region of northeast Pennsylvania. His father served in the United States
Navy through World War II and later went on to work in a steel mill, and his mother worked in a clothing factory. He grew
up in a farmhouse with his older sister and younger brother in the rural countryside of the Appalachian Trail. Always interested
in science and technology he often read magazines like Popular Mechanics as a child and young man, and always had new ideas
for inventions and better ways of doing things. Sailorman was just becoming a man when the Vietnam War was at its peak and
he decided, like his father, to join the United States Navy, and the rest is history. This is the true story of one of the
most interesting people I have ever met. With his strong right wing conservative views, and his endless amount of crazy stories,
these interviews have been an incredible experience for me. I hope you enjoy! -Curtis
