Love Your BrotherTo be blunt, I am sick and tired of people thinking they deserve something just because they happen to
be a certain race, religion or gender. I am absolutely one hundred percent pro equal rights, but it seems the people
who want equal rights don’t exactly understand what that involves. For example, if you are a woman and you believe
you deserve everything equal to that of a man, you better be prepared to deal with the things that men deal with in their
day to day lives. You see, women say they deserve to be paid equally in the employment role as men, yet they still want to be treated like “ladies” in the work place. They want that paycheck, yet they are unable to sacrifice
their inner desires to be pampered like daddy’s little princess in order to earn it. You can’t treat a woman
like a man in the work place without being considered sexist and that to me says they honestly don’t want “equality”
as much as they want more than they get without having to earn it. I read stories in the news all the time about companies being sued by women who claim they were treated unfairly, when actually they were being treated exactly like every
man that works there as well. If you want to be equal, why do you not give the men the same opportunity? Why is it even
though when two people are divorced and the father is the only one working and he truly loves his children, ninety
percent of the time, custody is granted to the poor unemployed mother who was caught cheating on her husband and the
man is left to pay the dividends? Is that fair? Is that equal? I don’t think so, yet time and time again it
seems to happen and still women cry that they are not equal to men. It’s quite similar to the race issue that still
plagues our country. All of our “minorities” still to this day, cry for equality and demand things they don’t
believe they should have to earn. Is it not anything more than a step backwards to separate yourself as “Black”,
“Puerto Rican”, or “Mexican”, rather then proclaiming you’re an American and the same as
all of the human race? They cry that the white community is holding their culture back from progressing, when they are not making steps forward for themselves. We the people must make the progress we seek. We cannot expect others
to hand us that which we do not deserve. As soon as something goes wrong, normally you will see a community of minorities
pull the race card and separate themselves from society proclaiming their suppression and desire for equality simply
because they are not humble enough to accept the embarrassment of the situation, therefore eliminating the possibility
of equality because they are chanting “we” vs. “they” instead of chanting “us”. We
need to realize that we’re not black, white, brown or colored. We are humans who should stick together as
the people and not the sectors of race. That is equality. Religion, as well, may be the worst of all when it comes to the blame game. Freedom of religion does not entail anything that makes you better than the next person. It is wonderful
to have faith and something to live for, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to become self righteous in their pursuit of happiness. Everyone truly needs to accept the fact that we are all human beings with different lifestyles
and different priorities. Love your brother and accept the fact that the only way to be equal to the next man is to give
him the same rights that you desire. -Word-

CHANGE? I do not have a particular political affiliation. I normally tend to walk straight down the middle of the left
and right and try to just logically conclude on whatever issue may be at hand. One thing, though, has been seriously
troubling me as of late and it has to do with the democratic nominee, Barack Obama, and his vision of great change.
From what I understand, Mr. Obama’s great change truly only betters the rest of the world. It has no real great
outcome for the nation he wishes to lead. It seems to me he is more interested in being the leader of the world, rather
than the President of the United States. For example, he says the people of the United States can go hungry in order
to feed the world. Do you not believe world hunger is an issue for the countries it effects to fix? Why is it when something
troubles the world, it becomes America’s job to fix it? If we were starving, would the rest of the world sacrifice
their well-being to save us? Where was the rest of the world when hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans? Where
was the rest of the world when we were attacked on September 11th? If we are not on top of the world’s list of
priorities, why should it be on top of ours? We focus so much energy on saving the world that we lose track of our own
needs. It is not selfish to put ourselves before the rest of the world, that is what made us the greatest country
on Earth, because we strive to be the best and we’ve always taken care of our own. It is merely a matter of survival
to take care of ourselves, yet Mr. Obama seems to think we are already well enough taken care of , even though our education system is far behind most countries, not to mention the fact that our prisons are overpopulated and our judicial
system is more corrupt than the government it serves. He also tends to think that our constitution is no more than an out of date waste of time, as he wishes to destroy our individual right to bare arms. As I’ve said before,
if guns are made illegal to possess, it will only take them away from the good citizens who intend to use them properly.
Criminals will have firearms either way, they carry them illegally now as they would then. I’ve also heard talk
that Obama would like to push beef off the market and have us eat bugs and worms because cattle flatulence is supposedly contributing to “global warming”. Are we still in the same dimension here? While you’re at it, Mr.
Obama, why don’t you nuke the entire city of Chicago if your stance on farting is so strong? Seriously people,
is the change this lunatic is proposing really for the best of our country, or is he truly just an extremist left wing nut job with a lack of knowledge for what this great nation was built on? When will we have a leader who truly
has our backs again? A leader who thinks of America before the rest of the world? When will we, as a nation, be
able to look at our President and be proud of our country? When will we once again feel secure in our own skin and be
able to look at the rest of the world without worrying about being “PC” and say, “We are the United
States of America and you can kiss our American, red, white and blue asses!” The day we can do that again is
the day we will realize that we need no great change, because perfection is that which needs not to be changed and beauty
is in the eye of the beholder. America doesn’t need change, it needs unity, discipline and respect and that is
something we should demand, because we deserve it. -Word-

Intelligence = WitcheryThe lack of intelligence that lurks about me on a daily basis is enough to scare a grown man under his
covers. The scariest thing about stupid people is they come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, colors and genders. You can
never tell until they open their mouths. Everyday I hear some of the most ridiculous statements ever spoken by a
human being and they have a way of slithering into my ears like poisonous snakes just to sink their venomous fangs full
of a potent poison known as a lack of common sense into my brain until I am half way between suicidal and brain dead.
If I could describe the perfect world as I see it, it would be full of people with enough decency and respect
to mind their own business and everyone would be wise and logical the way we were intended to be. There would be no religion,
there would be no superstition, there would be nothing that could give anyone reason to feel the need to voice their
opinion of the unknown, nor would there be anything that could give anyone reason to feel like they should impress their
will or judgment on another person. Now, wouldn’t that be nice? A world where there would be no reason to
argue, a world where you wouldn’t be judged for being too heavy, smoking or just doing what you do to stay happy.
A world where logic would supersede self-righteousness and intellect would conquer the fear of the unknown. But, sadly, that will never happen. We will always be surrounded by people who know better than the rest of us, even though they
probably couldn’t lace their own boots without instructions and a step by step self help video, along with a few
verse’s from the bible just to ease the anxiety that comes with a risk of failure. I was told once that I
should consider where I will be heading after this life before I say the things I say. I then told the gentleman that
I had no fear because deep inside I knew I was a good person and further more I didn’t believe in Hell, in which
he replied, “Well, some people don’t believe in China, but that doesn't mean it isn’t there!”
Now, how am I , an intelligent, logical human being, supposed to take a statement like that seriously? I told the man
that I had never seen Hell on a globe, nor could I name one city in it, nor did I ever buy a product which was labeled “Made in Hell” and if I had, maybe I would consider it to be plausible. He then stomped off in a huff and
did not want to continue our conversation. Why is it, when someone so hellbent, no pun intended, on convincing you of
their beliefs is challenged with something that goes against these beliefs, they cannot stand the sight of you,
they are unwilling to continue the debate and then you are considered the “dumb one”. I am willing to hear
anyone's opinion on anything but unless you have absolute, solid evidence that what you speak of is the truth, do
not expect to change my mind or make me feel like a lesser person. At least what I believe in is vast enough to
make sense and the bonus is, no one can be hurt by it, unlike their thoughts of eternal damnation and darkness. Stupidity
is in all different areas of life, the trouble is it never seems to let up. My advice to anyone who is remotely intelligent
is, keep it to yourself, unless you want to be burned at the stake for witchery. -Word-

Can't Smoke 'Em Even If You Got 'Em!Well, Pennsylvania has finally passed the no smoking law which prohibits smoking in all public places;
work, leisure or otherwise. When things like this occur, it causes me to take a step back, look around and think to myself,
“What the hell is next?” Now, please, do not take my words as a vigilant stand against a healthier world. I am not advocating people to die faster or become unhealthy, but please realize one simple thing. America has
always been known as the “Land Of The Free”, “The Promise Land”, “Paradise”. Are
we really living free though? I have been a smoker for 20 years and I am intelligent enough to understand that it is
not healthy. I am also respectful enough to not smoke around someone who is bothered by it and I have enough sense
to not smoke around my kids. Is that not enough for these uptight, preserve all life, freedom bashers who obviously are
never satisfied with anything and who can never just leave well enough alone. Do they not understand that people
who smoke, smoke because they enjoy it? It’s a release of stress and anxiety, much like a cookie or a hot bath.
Apparently, they will not be satisfied until everything in the world is exactly the way they want it, like little spoiled
snot nosed brats whose parents never uttered the word “No!”. What harm am I causing anyone when I’m
smoking in a room closed off from the rest of the building at work, strictly designated for smoking? Is my health any
of their business anyways? You’ll never see me snatching a Redbull or a coffee from their hands because caffeine
is potentially deadly and can cause irregular heartbeats and even heart attacks. Caffeine is an addictive habit
forming drug. Should we ban it as well? Make Truth commercials about Mountain Dew and Pepsi? I bet the same people who
consider me a simple minded health martyr would be outraged if you put a trade embargo on coffee beans or green
tea. The point is EVERYTHING in one way or another is bad for you. From the prescriptions America takes everyday, to
the food we eat, to the air we breath. The world has just become so uptight that it can’t let go of anything which seems to be epidemic, but when you think about it, EVERYTHING is epidemic. They’ve done studies which have proven
that stress is one of the leading causes of cancer. I smoke to relieve stress, so am I not preventing the risk of cancer
by smoking? The people who ride me to quit actually cause me to smoke. They say, “Curtis, don’t you know
how bad that is for you?”, in which I respond, “Yeah, but if I quit, do you know how bad that could be for
you because without this cigarette, I’m liable to kick your ass!”. I think the world needs to mind their
own damn business. If you’re outside and someone is smoking near you and it bothers you, is it not more decent and respectful to just move 20 feet to the left, rather than take a self righteous stand and impede your will upon
that persons rights as a citizen of the Untied States? Do you really believe that that person lit the cigarette just
to annoy you? No! It’s because they are trying to enjoy life you ignorant simple minded self righteous asshole!
Maybe if you’d have a little respect for other people’s choices we wouldn’t have this disagreement.
Maybe if you could just understand that there are bigger things in this world to worry about, you may be able to find
that that person is just enjoying his day. Maybe if you thought about what it would feel like if someone tried to
take away the things you enjoy, you may calm the hell down a little and realize that everyone is different and if we
all conformed to what you wanted, we’d be nothing more than useless robots waiting to die. The bottom line is unless you want this world to collapse under the weight of it’s own suppression, everyone needs to pull their
obnoxious stick out of their uptight, “I know better than you!” asses! -Word
