Beat Your Kids!I have the tendency to be too critical of people, especially our lawmakers, but I do believe I am right
on the subject that's on my mind at this moment. I was listening to The Bearman and Keith this week, when I heard
them asking a question I had never put much thought into. Should a parent be punished for a child's lack of intelligence?
The question arose after they read a story about a girl named Brittany. Apparently, Brittany stopped attending school
when she lived with her mother at age 16. Her father, as I understand it, had custody of her and a judge put Brittany's
education on her father's shoulders. After Brittany failed her GED time and time again, her father was sentenced
to 180 days in prison. Now, when I was a kid, it didn't take much for my daddy to pull off his belt and whoop my
ass, but God forbid you do that anymore, kids may actually learn discipline and respect! If you so much as scold
your child these days you're considered a child abusing maniac who needs anger management and psycho therapy. If
my daddy ever got sentenced to 180 days in jail because I was either too stupid or too lazy to finish my schooling, he would have told the judge to tack on some abuse charges while he was at it because when he got out, Curtis would have
been dead meat. I never thought I was abused growing up and actually, I admire my parents for disciplining me the way
they did because it made me understand the theory of actions and consequences. It gave me respect and instilled
values in me. No, I didn't want to get smacked or whipped and that was often the reason why I thought twice about
doing some of the stupid things I may have done if I knew there would be no consequences. Pain is a wonderful device of discipline when it's used properly. Pain is the freeway to the brain, it by passes all emotion and other unneeded
obstacles to get information from point A (the ass) to point B (the head). Pain is a direct root of travel into many
areas of the mind. It instills fear which creates memories which arise in decision making. If you whoop your child's
ass for taking money out of his mothers purse, chances are 20 years from then, when he has the opportunity to steal again,
that memory of a traumatic ass whoopin' will pop up and cause a feeling of dread that will suppress his urge
of thievery. If instead of a whoopin, you sit him down and explain why he shouldn't steal, pat his head and give
him the money anyways as a sign of truce, all he will remember is when he gets caught stealing, he still gets the cash.
So, in closing, I say this: Unless this world wants the next generation to be a group of stupid, lazy, useless,
disrespectful thieves, they need to loosen up and let us get back to what we need to go and beat the unholy shit out
of these little heathen bastard kids until they straighten the hell up. My daddy use to say, "On your feet or
you dead meat!" and to that, Daddy, I can only say, WORD!

ReligionThe religions of the world fascinate me. Soothing, inspirational, and yet destructive and deadly depending
on the circumstance. I, myself, claim no religion in particular and try to keep faith in the thought that this life isn't
the end of my existence. Some religions grab hold of their worshipers so strongly they merely cause more harm than
good. I've had debate upon debate with people from all creeds and sects about faith, God and the afterlife and come
to the conclusion that the only thing they can agree on is I am wrong and most likely going to hell if not just dying
and ending any eternal life there after for myself. A devout Christian will tell you God is all knowing and loving, yet
still maniacal enough to let you burn in eternal darkness for infinity if you make the wrong choices, even though he
knew you'd make them and did nothing to stop you. If I say to that Christian that I don't believe in hell,
they immediately turn me into a fourth grader with no intelligence or experience and label me as a poor, unknowledgeable,
lost soul before even letting me present a rebuttal that may actually make logical sense if they'd take the time to let it in their thick skulls. On the other hand, a devout Atheist will tell you we are merely stardust with no real
meaning or purpose. This life is all there is to existence and the soul is a figment of imagination that man invented
to make himself feel special. If I even so much as mention the fact that I believe I am special and have a
purpose and maybe there is something more to this universe than stardust, I'm labeled as an unintelligent, backwards,
faith healer who still believes in the boogey man. How different are these two people? Not very different at all if you
ask me. They're so set in how they think and believe that they absolutely refuse to hear the opinion of a free
thinker who gave them the respect to listen to what they had to say with an open mind and heart. I believe that everyone
needs something to believe in, but I also think this world, with all of its progression and advancement, needs to
step off of its pedestal of "I'm right and that's that" way of thinking and use something religion,
or atheism, isn't very fond of...logic. Logically speaking, would a creator of the universe make it so vast with
so many countless stars and planets and only create life on one? Would he give his "children" free will
and then apply rules that go against every natural instinct of how that creature is designed to test its loyalty, and
if so, if that creature could not abide by these rules would he then sentence it to eternal damnation in a place he
created for the wicked? If he is the know all be all why would he create the wicked in the first place? If he gave free
will and didn't like the outcome why not just take it back? And logically speaking we may have all come from stardust
but does that eliminate the possibility that there might be energy and substance within all living things the human
race is yet to discover? Does that mean we should all just give up on the notion that there might be a greater life outside
of this one? Does that mean that every thought, feeling, dream, emotion and unexplained phenomena is just connecters
and wires or mere coincidence? I think the majority of this world is missing the big picture. We need to realize that
all is unknown until its over. No one can claim to be "right" when the only way to do that is to die. You need
to not live by the order of death and enjoy your life. Do what you can to be a good person and treat others right.
You'll feel it if you are and if this life is all there is, they why spend it fighting for the fact itself? Enjoy
yourselves and leave others do the same. There is no reason to persecute someone for their beliefs. If it works
for them, it's a beautiful thing, and if it doesn't directly effect you, leave it alone. Dream on, live free,
and stop asking me to join your church. :) -Word-

Who You Votin For?Election time is right around the corner and once again we’re left with a grab bag of admirable
and inspirational candidates to choose from to be our fearless leader. For anyone who isn’t from this planet, that
was sarcasm. We are so far beyond the point of no return that there is no real change in sight. You will hear the candidates speak of the glorious changes they will make to better our country and our lives, and to be honest, I’d
trust mud wrestling a starving cannibal with a steak knife before I’d believe anything these power hungry word
robots have to say. Before you judge my lack of confidence as being ignorant, please hear me out. Who do we have
to choose from? Well, on the Democratic side, we have Barack Obama. The Golden Boy. Our countries Savior of Change and
Progress. What does he promise? A stronger economy, ending the war and strict gun laws if not making them illegal all together. Ok, try to take my guns Mr. Obama and see how far out my front door you get. You see, whether or not this
country full of uneducated sissies realizes it or not, making guns illegal only takes them away from the good people
who intend to use them correctly. The bad guys will always have fire arms, legal or not and use them in crime and
punishment. I wouldn’t call myself a gun advocate, but I’m sure if the victims of Virginia Tech were raised
like myself, with respect for guns and understanding in what they are to be used for and if they were all armed, there would have only been one victim...the assailant. The problem is this world has evolved into an unknowledged fraternity
of sissies who don’t even know what confrontation feels like because their overbearing, overprotective parents
never exposed them to the real world. Thus, a lack of control when someone goes nuts and wants to kill. So Mr. Obama
will take guns away from the small percentage of people who still have enough brains to use them properly. Then we have
little Miss Hilary “My name is WOMAN” Clinton who lies about being shot at just to seem like some kind of heroine, only to make a complete ass out of herself in front of the world. I’m sure in her mind men are useless
scum just because she couldn’t satisfy her husband enough to keep him from mouth humping some fat intern while
in office, therefore she will liberate the already overprotected and over privileged female population and euthanize
all male species with a carnival of laws and rules that will supress men everywhere until we are dead in our coffins
filled with Oprah and the Lifetime Channel only to burn our already beaten lifeless bodies with flames made of estrogen.
Then on the Republican side we have Mr. Hero himself, John McCain. This pissed off white man is nothing more than George
Bush with a vocabulary and a vendetta against anything that isn’t American. He can’t even talk about Iraq
without flashing back to Nam and trying to pull imaginary bamboo slivers from under his fingernails. I’m sure
he gets an erection just thinking about anything that has to do with camouflage and probably still keeps a bullet in
his pocket just in case “Charlie” jumps out of the bush. To be honest, regardless of what they say, all of these candidates are still endorsed and influenced by the huge corporations that have always been endorsing politics
and those companies and people will always want the same thing from the people they helped get into office and they will
always come before you and me. So, will things ever really “change”? No, but we as a society let it
get this way so all we can do is blame ourselves. Curtis Jones says vote for none of the above and let this monopoly
of lies and dishonesty collapse so we can rebuild a society that we can trust. Let us not forget, there is hope. -Word- _________________________________________________________________
